Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Sumatera Selatan menyelenggarakan Kegiatan Inkubator Teknologi dan Informatika, Rabu (11/12), di Marcopolo Room, Hotel Emilia Palembang.
Kegiatan yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa-mahasiswi dari beberapa perguruan tinggi di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan ini, dibuka oleh Asisten III Setda Provinsi Sumatera Selatan Prof. Edwar Juliartha yang hadir mewakili Gubernur Sumatera Selatan, serta turut dihadiri juga oleh Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Sumatera Selatan Achmad Rizwan, para Kepala OPD Pemprov. Sumsel, para Narasumber, dan para tamu undangan.
Kepala Dinas Kominfo Prov. Sumsel Achmad Rizwan mengatakan tujuan dari kegiatan tersebut adalah, pertama, untuk mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia bidang TIK yang siap menghadapi permasalahan yang ada dan dijadikan sebagai peluang sekaligus tantangan ke depan yang harus dihadapi.
“Kedua, akselerasi pembuatan model produk yang siap diujicoba dengan cepat, sesuai dengan kemajuan zaman,” ujarnya.
Sasarannya, kata Rizwan, adalah mahasiswa/mahasiswi, atau fresh graduate, yang berjumlah 150 orang, yang berasal dari universitas yang ada di Prov. Sumsel.
Lebih lanjut, Rizwan menyampaikan ucapan selamat mengikuti kegiatan, kepada para peserta yang hadir.
Sementara itu, Asisten III Setda Provinsi Sumatera Selatan Prof. Edwar Juliartha berharap, para mahasiswa bisa melihat kemajuan dunia dalam berbagai bidang, sehingga dijadikan sebagai sebuah peluang besar yang tentunya bermanfaat.
“Baik dari sisi finansial, maupun sisi pengembangan diri,” ungkapnya.
Menurut Edwar, tujuan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Prov. Sumsel melakukan kegiatan Inkubator Teknologi dan Informatika adalah, untuk menginisiasi masyarakat agar memiliki media untuk mencari peluang-peluang tersebut secara lebih terarah.
Ia menganggap, tidak ada masyarakat Sumsel yang tidak tahu komputer maupun internet, sehingga masyarakat diharapkan semakin cerdas untuk menjadikan ini sebagai suatu peluang.
“Jangan kita jadi korban. Jangan kita jadi pasar. Tetapi, justru kita harus mengambil kesempatan ini sebagai satu kesempatan untuk kita sebagai start-up,” pungkasnya.
