Sebuah mobil tangki, yang berhenti di pinggir Jalan AKBP Cek Agus yang menuju Jalan Dr. M. Isa sejak Selasa (29/10) pkl. 23.00 malam, dengan muatan 22 ton minyak inti sawit (BKO), ditabrak oleh sebuah mobil truk fuso bermuatan biji inti sawit, serta mobil tangki berisi minyak sawit (CPO) yang ada di belakangnya. Peristiwa tabrakan tersebut terjadi pada subuh, Rabu (30/10), sekitar pkl. 05.20 wib.
Akibat tabrakan tersebut, mobil berisi minyak inti sawit yang dikendarai oleh Eki tersebut, rusak pada bagian belakang tangki, sehingga minyak yang ada di dalam tangki tumpah ke lajur jalan bagian kiri. Sedangkan, truk fuso yang dikendarai Dedi warga Bengkulu, mengalami kerusakan parah pada kabin mobil tersebut. Sementara itu, mobil tangki yang berisi minyak sawit yang dikendarai Zul, hanya mengalami kerusakan pada pintu sebelah kiri.
Kanit Laka Polresta Palembang Iptu Bambang melalui Aiptu Edward, menceritakan kronologis kejadian. Ia mengatakan, peristiwa tersebut terjadi sekitar pkl. 05.20 pagi.
“Kejadian tersebut sekitar jam 5.20. Mobil tangki yang pertama mogok dari jam 11 malam,” kata Edward.
Sampai dengan pkl. 10.00 pagi, mobil tangki yang berisi minyak inti sawit tersebut, masih berada di sisi sebelah kiri Jalan AKBP Cek Agus yang menuju ke arah Dr. M. Isa. Mobil tangki baru akan dipindahkan menggunakan mobil derek, setelah muatan minyak inti sawit BKO tersebut dipindahkan ke mobil tangki lainnya.
