Pemerintah Kota Palembang melakukan peninjauan terhadap fasilitas publik, berupa ruang terbuka hijau, yang ada di Jl. POM IX Palembang.
Kunjungan pertama dilakukan di Taman Adipura oleh Wakil Walikota Palembang Fitrianti Agustinda, Rabu (29/1).
Fitri mengatakan, dirinya bersama jajaran, melakukan peninjauan ke kawasan taman yang ada di Kota Palembang, khususnya di Rayon Barat.
“Rayon barat itu meliputi IB I, IB II, Bukit Kecil,” ujar wanita yang akrab disapa Finda tersebut.
Menurut Fitri, hal tersebut sesuai dengan arahan Gubernur Sumsel Herman Deru, agar seluruh kawasan taman di Kota Palembang rapi, elok, indah, dan enak dipandang mata.
“Bukan dalam arti harus pohon yang mahal. Harus ada tanaman yang mahal. Tidak!,”
Fitri berharap, tanaman apapun sebaiknya dirawat dan dijaga. Karena Palembang, lanjut Fitri, merupakan Kota Metropolitan.
Fitri meyakini, hal tersebut menjadi harapan banyak masyarakat Kota Palembang.
“Seluruh taman di Kota Palembang ini, harus betul-betul secara bertahap kita rapikan,” ujarnya.
Mudah-mudahan, kata Fitri, dengan kerja keras dari jajaran Dinas Pera KP Kota Palembang dan bantuan seluruh pihak, persoalan taman di Kota Palembang secara bertahap akan diselesaikan di tahun 2020.
