Astra Motor Sumatera Selatan selaku main dealer Honda kembali menggelar kompetisi safety riding untuk kategori safety riding advisor dealer dan safety riding advisor Community di Sumsel. Bertempat di Astra Motor Training Center untuk test tertulis dan lapangan parkir OPI Convention Sport Center untuk test praktik. Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh 30 peserta yang berasal dari karyawan Astra Motor Sumsel dan mengikutsertakan bikers Honda dari komunitas Asosiasi Motor Honda Palembang (AHMP).
Henry Setiawan selaku Manager Marketing Astra Motor Sumsel mengatakan bahwa kompetisi safety riding tingkat regional ini merupakan persiapan Astra Motor Sumsel mencari kandidat terbaik yang akan mengikuti kompetisi safety riding di tingkat nasional sekaligus membawa nama Sumatera Selatan.
“Kompetisi menjadi bentuk persiapan kami untuk mengikuti kompetisi safety riding di tingkat nasional yang akan dilangsungkan 28-31 Juli di Medan. Kompetisi ini merupakan salah satu bukti komitmen dan partisipasi kami dalam mengkampanyekan keselamatan berkendara di Sumatera Selatan.” ungkap Henry.
Henry juga menjelaskan untuk kriteria penilaian keterampilan safety riding yang ditentukan sesuia dengan standar nasional yaitu menguji pengetahuan peserta dalam berkendara dan kemudian teknik coaching skill untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta dalam menyampaikan materi edukasi safety riding.
Kemudian juga dilakukan pengujian teknik slalom yaitu pengujian keterampilan peserta dalam menghindari rintangan saat berkendara, kemudian teknik braking atau pengereman, dan plank riding yaitu menguji kemampuan peserta dalam mengatur keseimbangan saat berkendara.
Berdasarkan test yang telah dilakukan, inilah yang akan mewakili Astra Motor Sumsel di tingkat nasional. Untuk kategori safety riding advisor dealer yaitu Febrianto dari Astra Motor Vetran dan untuk safety riding advisor community diwakilkan oleh Rizkieka Ayu Khoyrani (komunitas Revo Riders Club Palembang) kategori matic dan M. Fadhli Siddiq (komunitas Beat Club Palembang) kategori sport.
“Kompetisi ini juga bagian dari upaya kami untuk memastikan kompetensi safety riding advisor Honda yang terus terasah agar senantiasa dapat melayani masyarakat dengan lebih baik dalam hal edukasi keselamatan berkendara.” tutup Henry.
