PALEMBANG SONORA – Ketua Persatuan Dokter Hewan Indonesia (PDHI) Sumatera Selatan, Jafrizal mengusulkan agar Kota Palembang segera memiliki tempat penjualan hewan kurban secara terpusat.
Usulan ini disampaikannya kepada stakeholder terkait diantaranya Pemerintah Kota, BPJPH, MUI hingga penjual hewan kurban.
Menurut Jafrizal, keberadaan tempat penjualan hewan secara terpusat tersebut dinilai penting dalam rangka mempermudah pengawasan.
“Kalau ada tempat khusus ini maka penjualan hewan lebih mudah di kontrol dan standard penjualan hewan juga bisa terpantau baik dari segi umur dan kesehatan hewan kurban,” kata Jafrizal ketika ditemui, Rabu (06/07) kemarin.
Jafrizal menambahkan, selain mempermudah pengawasan, keberadaan tempat penjualan hewan secara terpusat itu nantinya juga dapat mempermudah dalam proses sertifikasi.
“Jadi penjual hewan di tempat tersebut semuanya sudah tersertifikasi,” ujarnya.
Ditambah lagi beberapa waktu belakangan ini publik sempat dikhawatirkan dengan mewabahnya Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) jelang hari raya Idul Adha.
Maka, lanjut Jafrizal, apabila nantinya tempat penjualan kurban tersebut terwujud, pencegahan hewan kurban agar tidak terpapar PMK akan lebih mudah dilakukan.
