Kapolda Sumsel Irjen Pol. Drs. Firli, M.Si. didampingi Walikota Palembang H. Harnojoyo menggelar pemusnahan barang bukti narkotika hasil pengungkapan kasus oleh Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel dan Satresnarkoba Polresta Palembang bertempat di Pelataran Benteng Kuto Besak Palembang, Senin (28/10)
Tampak hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut, Pejabat Utama Polda Sumsel, Pejabat Utama Kejati Sumsel, FKPD Sumsel dan FKPD Kota Palembang, tokoh masyarakat, personel TNI/Polri, Mahasiswa/i dan Siswa/i sekolah yang ada di Kota Palembang.
Pemusnahan barang bukti narkotika yang digelar di pelataran Benteng Kuto Besak tersebut, merupakan hasil ungkap kasus Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel dan Satresnarkoba Polresta Palembang dalam kurun waktu 4 bulan terakhir. Adapun barang bukti yang berhasil dimusnahkan di pelataran BKB Palembang berdasarkan 10 Laporan Polisi (6 LP berasal dari ungkap kasus Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel dan 4 LP berasal dari tangkapan Polresta Palembang), dengan jumlah tersangka sebanyak 15 orang, dengan barang bukti shabu sebanyak 22.399,78 gram, ekstasi 21.043 butir dan ganja sebanyak 41.710,00 gram. Ungkap kasus narkoba yang dilakukan oleh Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel dan Polresta Palembang tersebut, berhasil menyelamatkan anak bangsa sebanyak 394.081 jiwa dari bahaya narkoba.
