SONORA, PALEMBANG – Guna memberikan pemahaman mengenai manfaat dan risiko produk dan layanan jasa keuangan, Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Kantor Regional 7 (OJK KR 7) Sumbagsel terus mendorong literasi keuangan kepada masyarakat yang dalam hal ini adalah calon konsumen.
Hal ini disampaikan Untung Nugroho selalu Kepala OJK KR 7 Sumbagsel saat menyampaikan materi dalam Pelatihan dan Gathering Media Massa KR 7 Sumbagsel, Jum’at (21/02).
Dalam mendorong literasi keuangan, Untung menjelaskan, pihaknya senantiasa meminta lembaga keuangan untuk menyiapkan aspek-aspek perlindungan agar tetap terjaga pada saat memberikan perizinan produk.
“Dalam memberikan perizinan produk, kesiapan aspek-aspek perlindungan tentunya menjadi prioritas yang kami minta kepada lembaga keuangan, misalnya pada produk asuransi dimana dalam hal ini OJK akan meminta apa saja fitur-fitur produknya,” katanya.
Selain meminta fitur-fitur apa saja yang ada pada produksi asuransi, lanjut Untung, pihaknya juga meminta formulir yang diisi oleh calon nasabah serta perjanjian kreditnya.
“Berbagai hal yang kami lakukan ini tidak lain untuk mengetahui apakah aspek-aspek perlindungan konsumen sudah terpenuhi atau belum, sehingga kami harapkan konsumen tidak menjadi korban dari produk asuransi,” lanjutnya.
Seperti yang diketahui, sepanjang tahun 2019 OJK KR 7 telah melaksanakan kegiatan Edukasi dan Literasi yang telah dilaksanakan sebanyak 115 kali dengan total peserta sebanyak 16.288 peserta baik dari pelajar, mahasiswa dan komunitas.
